POEM: SILK
I.
Spilling the vacant
Will of complacent
Scenes where you boast
Of your dreams
We stand aside
Above and behind
To propose you
Consider reality
Where whirlwinds
Unfurl like a clasp
Shackled purse
In a deja vu canyon
You brag of everything
All that you’ve won
Yet meanwhile you’ve said
And done nothing
II.
I turn to you
My heart therapy
Slow sinking swan
When my enemies
Have claimed their victory
You glide on mirror bodies
Attracting my still movements
This monument is yours
Yet we can’t see your feet
As you kick currents
Waves warrant
Our slippery soul’s
Attention
III.
It feels like everything
The titanic toils
The golden spoils
The copaiba oils
Fall deep
Into a pit
Where the evidence
Where the relevance
Shrinks into black
In that moment
Your look and smile
Fragrant and long
Like the Nile
Expanding direction
It is your light
In my darkness
Folding me
Into the day’s luncheon
IV.
The thread vibration
Discourse disgorges
What bubbles from our lips?
Is it the imbecilic utterance
Or infinitely wise quills
The breaded breeze
Rises rue and raisin
What fills the edgeless eye?
Is it a corn husk imitation
For silky sodden sighs?
The skin beneath
Our fingertips
Will beg us to question
What textures knew the touch we shared
And felt beyond convention?

The glamor girls, always so cool and unapproachable, your poem gets beneath their facade, nicely done.
