Running with the Blue Devil.
Heated my engine and pored him in.
He seeps into every nook and cranny to congeal as combustion heats and minutes lapse.

Sold, the devil plugs the leak.
And has me crawling through car lots
exposing myself to sales people who think I'm keen.

Coyly watching the rear view
she sallies from the show floor with heels and smart skirt
heat boils off the asphalt
she fixes her hair
at halfway across the lot her pitch is tuned
not until then do I put the car in D to cross the cross roads into the competitions lot.

I laugh as she goes back indoors and white smoke pores through my exhaust.
