I am possessed
By something you don’t want to meet
And I hide it
Until I can no longer
It must be expressed
It must be unleashed upon
The fragile nothingness of myself
And I am consumed
The black of my hatred
Continually inside my head
I wander the desolate void
Lost in what you did
To bring it out into the closed expanse
And the fumes
Linger and create the atmosphere
Of this dream-like complexity

Blind
Blow my mind
What I feel is yet so real
Kind
Peel the rind
From my mind
My lips unseal
Withdraw my zeal
One whole meal
Symbol
Tremble
Un-wrap my body
Un-foil my mind
Serene

No. 3 "Trapped"

Trapped beneath the thundering sky
Will I ever emerge from the atmosphere?
Will I ever float way up high?
To the beauty seen from down here
Trapped in the roaring rapids of life
Trying to fling myself to calmer waters
But fighting the force is useless strife
For even such a group of human plotters
Trapped by your warm arms
Holding me back from terror and engulfing
Safely protecting me from ever-impending harms
Loving me and comforting
Trapped between right and wrong
Is right the right thing to choose?
If I listen to the little voice’s song
Then their advice I can’t refuse
Trapped in my heart
My mind is struggling to escape
Too weak to further embark
And have its thoughts raped
Trapped below the surface of my inner self
Trying to emerge and become greater
And throw myself from the shelf
To explore Earth’s every crater

Dripping in the darkening dawn
Are my tickling thoughts
Touching doomed and dead
Tortured souls tossing and turning
Dropping onto dilated fears
My form caresses the burning
As tampered dirges play
Calling into calm death

There once stood a cloud
All set in silver
With its face very loud
Through the sky sent a splinter
It was to surround
The dead of winter
To unset, unbound
And add life bitter

I lay asleep
There I remain
Until you speak
Then comes the rain
I am meek
And in pain
Can’t stand the heat
Or the strain
Which I keep
On my brain
Your beak
My mane
Upon which we heap
A bloody stain

No. 7 "Attachment"

When they think they’ve lost you
You’ve lost them
They walk away from you
For fear you’ve walked away and left them
Side by side
We both are scared
We both have cried
Reaching out to one another we’re scared
But you can know that
I’ll protect you from me
Because I already know that
Because you’re afraid you’ll keep close to me

The scones I place
Are trepid
And the look of your face
Is intrepid
Because I am assuming your race

No. 9 "Vail"

I come to no avail
When I leap after the day
Which drops its veil
Before I can say
Bobsuruncle
Whence I finally travail
I will throw myself about
And lift my veil
To show off my snout
But I must bail
Every time I’m close
For the sun leaves a hot trail
And not long enough is the garden hose
When it hides under its veil
For about nine hours
I can’t see it to grasp its veil
Which the morning devours
I have come to no avail
Nor will I ever
So on will stay my veil
Throughout this endeavor

No. 10 "Unique Tree"

Once upon a time
There grew a little tree
Some called it a pine
Because they did not know what he was
In his uniqueness
He grew taller
Never giving to meekness
Never letting the wind tear him down
He was different
From the rest
And treated indifferent
Because he strove for the sun with
Unusual feeling
He felt the sun
And so the sun felt him
Then up his strength he would sum
To thrust himself ever up towards his
Lit one

Pause by the roadside
And peek over the mountain
For the sun doth hide
Become a fountain
And spew out into the sky
To call the sun out
Throw yourself very high
And let flow from your spout

Pause on the surface
Of the flowing life beneath you
And follow the trace
From a passerby’s shoe
For the sun doth hide
And cover its face with night
So I tried
But, alas, my plight

Pause on the ledge of the rising planet
And drop yourself down
To where the sun doth panic
Because the wind hath blown
And peel back its rays
From upon its lit face
And bring it back to the laze

Forth with I concur
That upon the painted Dilly
My moments must spur
OUT onto which can be silly
Contemplated rock
I whittle upon
I wile away the day and say
NO longer! For the con
Congenialities abroad
Must settle now-times
For the tree has shod
Its indifferent inclines
And so has been sent
Out into the frame of mind
Which black has bent
Though ever so kind
Water rises, water drops
Its fingers unclasp
The time-it stops
My throat is rasp
For a jaunty explorer
Careens forth with
And to its horror
It has missed
The paper flew away
Into broken hands
And I lacked the pay
To spread its bands
Over the sky, though I did
Forth with agreed
I was amid
Yet sprouted the seed

Cruel reality
Crushes most
Courage

I look inside of me
All I can see
Dunes stretching on forever
Behind me is an oasis
One step back and three forward
I wait inside of me
Come follow
Dunes until a sandstorm is upon us
It surrounds us and blinds us
Diving for cover inside of me

The butterflies drift up to me
As the smoke below covers
Vultures attack and fight them off
With nowhere left to go they
Fall and burn, their colors melting away
The rivers are all dried up
The trees can’t reach high enough

The monsters roar and rage and rant
Behold the men who calmly can’t
I stand behind the single one
Certain to do because I’m his sun
His ball of fire which all the while
Is above his head, he steps on tile
Architecture of a dream, a long mile
Of monsters who roar and rage and rant

Juice drips down my neck
Yet tears pour upon my shoes
Peaches so good they must
Have been poisonous

Hallucinations
And garage music
My reaction to what
Saying becomes you

Sure I’ll go with you
Except for the fact
That I can’t
Timmy
And I indulge in chocolate
My comfort and someone asks
Is that your comfort food?
Do you need me to beat someone up?
Yeah, him
But we all know to don’t
Myself is more to do

More of what was wanted
To be found
