I am the shore, and thus each day
The tide pulls some of me away
It never stops, it never slows
It wears away at me, and shows

If someone could just lend a hand
To replace what is borne away with land
It may keep me complete and whole
Reconstitute my ground, my soul

But here I sit, alone and bare
No hands caress me with care
My stones are empty, with none upon
Just walk away, I'll soon be gone
