some girl he'd seen - original poetry

in #poetry7 years ago

I

from a hill old ugly hugely craggy
squatting in the thorn root’s twist
knotted fingers holdin his stick
with his greasy cap the watcher

II

uncertain Orsino prowled
dark sidestreets
shadows in doorways watching
dishonest neon promises
shattered the sky
behind ahead below
rats recycling decay
up down and down up
senses twitching ignoring
the hand-on-hip redlightdive
fake electric heartbeats
the lure of the maindrag
circling memories
midnight blackness

III

on a breeze her cheap scent was carried
a scrap of paper fell gently beside him
a voice, wot you doin’ mate, goin' 'ome?

IV

some auld straycat
shulking down the area steps
from the mountain
down down it came
a soft female fragrance
tug tugging buried neurones
past stalking blood thumping
unseen as ghostly before
the bedlam night behind
the darkness hardconcrete
above somewhere
above the heavens
below the gutter
prowled Orsino seeking love

V

It’s old Harry Flower! And how're you
my lovely?
Shyly digging knarled toes
down into the dirt, consciousness unfurling,
mumbling something about some girl he’d seen

This reminded me of the Book Of Enoch,
too bad so few took the time to read it,
it is their loss :)

I don't know The Book of Enoch. I'll give it a look soon.

It is a book that was removed from the bible about giants before the flood, it is interesting stuff if you are into weird religious books lol
