How's Holland right now? We've got a heat wave here in the UK .... And it's a scorcher. I'm spending as much time as I can in parks... trying to stay away from beer gardens 😂😎🍻☀️
Every time I read one of your brilliant poems, I have a sense of frustration, because I wish everyone would read it.
So this one, what's so great?
Overall, there is a sense to it, a significance, an insight, that gives the poem merit. And then, each word, each cluster of words, is rich with meaning. These are like nuggets of potential energy that burst forth in the readers mind kinetically when we read them.
I don't usually comment. But you should hear it. Small reward, I know.

Rest assured, I'm submitting some of my poems to literary journals now to try and widen my audience. If/when one of them gets accepted I shall be promoting the publication here on steem, and maybe doing one of my video readings to get around the 1st publication issues.
I'm working hard at the moment on writing poetry to try and get published in literary journals, as well as continuing posting poems here on steem. It always makes me happy when people enjoy my writing 👍
dark pine-soldiers stand in sober silence –
rain soaked, yoked to concrete roots
of the road’s foundation.
Slick with bitumen, winding into gloaming,
groaning under lorry-trains
and spring's sharp awakening.
