Lost love

The first time I saw you I felt sparks
like I thought I would need a welder helmet kinda spark! I was so sure you were the one for me
But then the sun came up and reality set it
Now the sparks in my eyes when I see you shrinks by each disappointments
What sucks the most? I really wanted it to be
Right now it’ll take more than mere compliments to bring back the light in my eyes
I would say this is a lost love but how can one loose something they never had.
