Poetry : I Wish
This poem is about the writer, wishing for peace and heavens blessings upon you and your country, Nigeria in this trying times. The peace talks about the Boko haram and the Fulani herdsmen menace.
The heavenly smile talks about the economic development and human empowerment.
The moon that lightens the tales talks about the erratic power supply that you wish can be fixed.
The bird talks about you leaving this country for greener pastures but you only wish because the grass is not always greener on the other side.
I wish I was the rain, then I would fall with peace.
I wish I was the sun, then I would shine with heavenly smiles.
I wish I was the moon, then I would come out every night to lighten up the tales.
I wish I was a bird, then I would spread my wings and fly away...never to come back.
I wish.
Wonderfully written, I truly enjoyed this. I am not sure if you are a member of some poetry oriented communities, but I can definitely suggested a few.
