The Seductive Pain Of Love; My Original Poetry
Heavenly I felt,
Sleepless nights you caused,
Padding smiles you struck,
Beautiful images you painted,
Stimulus-response you created,
The whole works knew our world,
Everyone could speak for our bond.
How do I tell I no longer feel the same way?
That the Euphoria didn't last till eternity,
How do I explain when I can't tell it to ME,
I was supposed to continue in love,
But do I pretend in shame?
How do I tell that your jokes no longer cracks me up,
That your poems no longer lightens me up,
That your words bores me,
That your songs hurts my hearing,
How do I deliver my shame without hurting you?
I was never deceitful; now I feel like the serpent,
I was never misleading; now I feel like Eve,
Now I stare at the tree; to tell the truth or false.
Do I give you an Apple; so you might see things for yourself,
Do I search for a hiding abode,
So when you unleash your anger,
I don't get to see your face,
All these wasn't part of our plan,
But I can't pretend no more,
The Euphoria I once felt is no more.
So finally I get to meet a Nigerian writing poetry on Steemit. That's awesome. @palp, keep up the good work.
I think I will have to follow you, you could as well reciprocate. Well done.
