RE: The Future Follows Us

in #poetry5 years ago

This is quite a thought provoking poem. For instance, I wonder at the meanings of these two lines:
success comes from the foundations of our decisions
and
Philosophy brings practical applications of universal laws of spiritual grandeur
I'm not sure what you mean by either of these. I've been thinking recently, now that I am old and grey, about how philosophers from way way back and up until now have asked the same universal questions down at the level of assumptions (what makes something good for one), yet come up with different practical applications. Seems to me you are pondering postulates, the imponderable. Nice. I enjoyed this foray into deeper thought. Thanks.

Thank you,
I want things to be more meaningful, we have a part of the material and the spiritual and when we add unlimited growth potential we get a practical situation where we can make progress every day.

Which brings us right back to the postulates - what constitutes "progress"? I hope you don't mind my asking this, or that my comments diminish your poem in any way.
This is an age old quandary that you suggest is solvable, the best kind of quandary to ponder if you ask me.

Great questions, we need to be better than our previous self in morality, spirituality, truth, honesty, ability, success.
