ELECTION
That's the sound of it
Look! Listen to the music
Feel the excitement, bringing it's breath along
But... What really lies beneath the name?
That's the question.
Politicians scramble, scramble and scramble
For wealth, power and affluence
Are regardless to the poor masses.
We stand and listen and hope
The poor masses hope.
Hope for what?
Hope for the best ruler
But, has there even be a best ruler?
And who wants to be ruled?
Oh, election!
The name too sweet no doubt
But beneath it lies our fears and pains
Now the time has come and over again
And we will yet have to wait in vain
As power contends power
Some will die and some will live
We only look forward as the best power emerge
Yet, we never find it hard to forgive
Those who emerge.....
If we hope to stay alive
We only stand tired to think
And to remember the ardor you bring,
Election! That's the sound of it.
This made me feel a little sad. What a predicament we are in!
In my opinion nothing really can save this country. Just my opinion
Can we even have a good leader?
