Chimes of Time

With each second of the clock
With each movement of the sun
With each breath in and out
With each beat of my heart

I am counting down to victory
Victory from the snares of your love
Freedom from the chains of our memories
Safety from the claws of your obsession

Time, they say, heals all wounds
But my longing is not for healing
With each chime of the clock of my life
I long for amnesia to the safety in your arms
