In an empty park a girl walks by,
With a grey feather in her hand
To nobody she will ever speak,
About nothing she will ever laugh
She stays on that same bench
Away from her kind, away from her journey
She hears a bird singing from a rotten tree
Two stories apart - different pages of life
Descending light sparks hope from a far land
She longs for the feathers, she longs for the song
She longs for the holding hands,
She longs to hold on
