Oh My Africa!

The night, graced in starry colors, 
leaving us to sing “Africa” to the full moon.

our clouds were struck with lightening
The sky burst open by the raging thunders,  
Letting the rain to out-pour. 

Austerity, we are flooded in, 
Support, we are scrabbling for, 
Gasping for strenght, we ended up tramping ourselves.

The wave of hunger and diseases
away, it washes us, 
As we are washed by Corruption we cry and we flounder we wipe “Africa.”

Like sparrows, we shiver in winter,
side and side, we are shaken,
Unwillingly,  the music of the wind like trees they dance.

Stunded, wounded and Bruised
in the flood, helplessly we drift 
wailing and Choking, we cry “Africa.”
