Before Dusk
Before dusk, sky wore a garb of peace
With heavenly fluid drenching leaves at the crest of mountains
To lose connection with their branches,
And fall flat to feed the soil.
Streets enjoyed bantering of legs
And hearts laid peacefully on its friendliness.
Before dusk sat like a lion in the jungle,
Peace was the Chief commander of our land.
He commanded the globule of rain
To impact our tongue with mirth
While we spat out of the abundance in our belly,
The streaming stanza of peace.
Then suddenly, with the gleam of fear
Dusk rushed down to our land with dread
To make the reign of peace a memoir
Sang to the unborn beautiful ones
In the volume of white sheets blemished
By a pen with frolic tears.
