The Eyes of Greatness

He looks into the eyes of greatness
And recognizes that it looks back at him
The gaze fills his body with life
Tonight will be a most glorious night

He looks into the eyes of greatness
An esurient desire, unabated
For this moment of triumph is nearly his

He looks into the eyes of greatness
And does not blink
The time has arrived
He reacts with perfection
There is no need to think

He looks into the eyes of greatness
And places greatness on his back
His moment of immortality
Has suddenly become fact
And all who were there, just realized that

They've witnessed a once in a lifetime
Monumental Act
