Miles

I think I need to understand
the meaning of miles.
254 miles to be precise...
I could divide it by two hearts,
Then
Drop a few more numbers
to lighten the load,
Drop them by the days I know you,
2 years in total.

I could tell you distance
does not exist for me,
I feel you in the wind,
The air I breathe,
You are inside- growing in me,
Multiplying by an era a second,
Lifting my body so gravity
doesn't feel like its pulling me down.

This fireplace is warming the room,
And the blinds are drawn,
It's dark outside and
I'm on my own,
Alone,
But you're here even
while being 254 miles apart.
