Glowing lashes from a peeking horizon
Poor guy, the war took his one eye
Now he has to creep to the sky
Shuffling side to side for the right angle to spy
He’s Atlas’ only friend before the night
Wolves howl him to sleep,he slips in bed to cry
But when the cocks crow he knows he too must rise
He’s Mother Earth’s warmth from the lies
Valiant sword from the flies
Blinding his shimmer, but shield from the frigid winter
Makes all that grow green
They too wish they could fly
He steals their tears wishing he could hide
But he can’t cause he’s her only son.
