purifying the ego: 12
feeling a bit better
noticing things, here
listening to things, their
sun ra plays my ears
space jazz brings care
the intergalactic spree
the lock downs continue
plodding along slowly
like a wounded animal
in the forest of our fears
in the capacity of our dears
in the madness of our tears
hate rises in me, now
is it all really real?
not like they say, then
green lights encircle earth
pink lights cloud my mind
sterile angelic energies
the angels have little empathy
for the human condition
all empathy has been lost
during their ancient rebellion
what solace can we have
if the angels battle each other?
ever it is as such
there is no help
in the cosmos
only battle and strife
no peace in the valley
no promised new wine
evil runs unchecked
evil makes them see
good as evil, evil as good
this is the evilest evil
profaning good for evil
behind the good lay evil
no eyes to see
no ears to hear
no mouth to say
"I believe that all human beings must dedicate themselves to writing poetry for half an hour every day, without worrying if the writing is good or bad, if it will be commercially successful or not. Poetry as a constant in life purifies the ego."
