Look Up (Haiku)

in #poetry6 years ago (edited)

Hi, haiku lovers.

Once too often we’ve found a form in the sky; we tease out dreams we think clouds keep, but once in a while, we look up and find that image no one sees, that meaning which no one gets.

Those people who have read Jung's theories, or those who simply use their common sense, know they see what they want to see. And by "want", we mean "need." Our minds put images before our eyes for us to contemplate our inner drives shape-shift from abstract smoke into golems. It’s pareidolia. Our minds play with us.

Pareidolia can be OK. Just make sure you don't create a new religion out of a vision, or encourage the masses to kill some singer because you've played his song backwards and found "that" devilish thing you've been warning the world about.

.

Look Up

Clouds, light and shadows.

Forms of imagination.

                 Human molds divine.

Thanks for reading.
