This is Me
Not a stranger
To rejection
I was pushed away
From their sights
My existence
Had been denied
And I was buried
Before my time
What a struggle
To wrestle
Just to be noticed
What a battle
To fight
Just to be seen
Tears I cried
Scars I hid
Won't be in vain
For now I rise
From the grave they dug
Realizing the air is free
For me to breathe
I have no wings
But I'll walk
I'm bruised from the abuse
But I'll keep moving on
I used to live in fear
But now I'm brave enough
To reveal my broken parts
Ain't no one
Can stop me
Ain't no judgement
Will put me down
Because
I'm not trying to fit in
I deserve
To be me.
