The Perfect Meditation… (an original poem)
the jungle
weaving through
the trees
hiding in the shadows
waiting for
its prey
instincts
all the ones
that came before
developing his skill
the perfect way
to kill
the sounds
that are unheard
mastering his
movements
never uttering
a word
energy
for that burst
of reckless speed
a talent he's perfected
to perform this
very deed
instant
with its fierce and
awesome power
taking that
one chance
to ravage and devour
the strength and
lack of guilt
instills a sense
of danger
that's just how
he was built
stalking
all its prey
never
showing mercy
it is
his only way
his being
the way
he must exist
passed down
through generations
survival of the fittest
stillness
denying all temptation
an exercise in
patience
like a --
perfect meditation.
