CLOSE THE DOORS -Poem
Sad memories and joyful tears combined,
the past and present twined,
teach you that fear lives in the mind
feeding upon your soul, turning you blind.
Close the doors leading you to nowhere,
your clenched fists, screams, anger roars,
yells or cries -everything must stop there
even the ifs and hopes for being elsewhere.
Whispers or promises made in an alcove,
let them all go and hang on to self love,
take an easier, smoother path,
don't tarnish or darken your heart.
They ain't real,
ain't going to be,
breath them out,
set yourself free.
It's time to move on,
stop lingering on,
whatever it was,
stayed in the past.
Learn to keep your head straight,
learn to forgive and walk fast
learn to have some faith,
if you can't swim, go with the flow.
Better keep those doors locked,
no matter what they brought,
no matter what or how you fought,
now, nothing can get you shocked.
