Tilt of the Earth's Axis - - Writers Block Poetry Contest Week 3

in #poetry7 years ago (edited)

Inspired by Mộng-Lan’s book Why is the Edge Always Windy?

Mộng-Lan’s work relies heavily on spacing to provide rhythm and numbered sections to tie ideas together. To maintain the visual aspect, my poem is shown in the images below.

it feels like urban romanticism meets cynical observationsalism and spun around the loom into such a beautiful tapestry, I almost can't believe it is Kansas City!

but truly, this is beautiful, @luthvarian, and reads so well. I've never read Mộng-Lan, but your poem here is inspiring me to change that.

Thank you so much for sharing your work!

Please do check her out! Her use of white space is remarkable!

I super love these lines-- "No one needs know my human failing. I must bear the extremes of narcissism."

This is great work! Keep it up :)

This is beautiful my dear
