perhaps too many choices and influences from everywhere, leaves us living a superficial life. Not many masters are born. because no-one has the courage to explore the depth of ONE thing.

That is very accurate. We are influenced by so many things and are amateurs at almost everything but rarely dive deep into one. Hm, perhaps we need to explore and experiment in the beginning, find what resonates with us, and then go all in.
