the barmen have retired
then the drunk men got all violent,
smashing bottles right outside the club doors.
for the night; they got too tired
of trying to keep the place clean, and the floors.
two tequilas with double lime,
and some salt to make it go down smooth.
i don’t want to have to roam
the streets all night looking for a bed.
oh, the magazines are selling us
some crap about celebreties abroad.
and i don’t know sobriety;
if i met him, i would offer him a drink.
