The Hungry Man
The hungry man by the corner swears and curses his fate
Poverty is an affliction, and to be wealthy is a gift of life
My stomach is empty; do you have some food to spare?
But you refuse me just to turn around and live in excess
The stomach of the hungry man grumbles while his spirit cries in bitter frustration
The world is a fixed game played in a dingy casino
The winners keep winning and the strangers keep losing
The winners know themselves alone; the hungry man is his own best friend
My anger is rising and so does my hunger
I will feed tonight and quench my frustration
I will keep still no longer

Thank you so much
My heavens, I like this one. I share the frustration you express. Keep up the good work of focusing on the right subjects, and also your excellent poetry.
Thank you so much.
Really nice words mate. Harsh reality though.
Thanks mate. Sad stuff really
