Temporal attempt at suppression
To hold the tidal tears back
From bursting the sandy banks
Tasked with taming the teary stream

Curious heart intent on exploration
Moving ever closer to lover’s hearth
Open to smoulder with dancing flames
Whatever it costs for love’s sake
