RE: Man's nature is to be, being stunted occurs by his acquiescence // a poem by an African
I love what you've done with the formatting here, really makes it jump off the screen at me and adds extra emphasis to those individual phrases. The overall competitiveness of life troubles me to no end - the idea that we are born into a 'trial', at a 'start block'. Although some, in the right ways, is obviously beneficial.
The trouble more so, I suppose, is that we grow up in a corrupted world and are prone to corruption ourselves. We are primed to compete mercilessly from such a young age. You provide some searingly astute considerations in this poem - very well done.
