God Given
Here is the first poem I wrote once I started taking writing seriously again when i was 19.
God Given
Angels in the heavens,
Stars in the sky,
Rose in the field,
Scent on the wind.
All ifts from the Lord,
On high above,
Giv’n to us,
To show his love.
These pleasures and joys of life,
Are so great I feel I must burst.
Yet in comparison with this new joy,
I find in you,
They are but a droplet of water,
In a sea of new thirst.
