POEM: Presence
Into myself
Into my soul
Into my world
I give of myself
Must feed myself
Breathe myself
Redefine myself
Growing
Slowing time
Finding what’s mine
Holding it close
Bring my wings in like a cloak
Stand still
Be here
Now
The view from my house last winter.
This is what I’ve got right now, this simple poem. A handful of other posts pester me, but I don’t have the motivation or energy to make them happen.
It’s snowing outside. I need to go stack firewood. I also need to set up my new mic and record my part for Enchanted Pixie for @steemmonsters, which includes the intimidating process of setting up a new program and new gear. I’ve been procrastinating this for weeks now. I've been playing SteemMonsters... does that count?
Lately my priority has been to be with my family and just enjoy that. The days grow short. Quiet beckons. I’ll get to the gear. First the firewood.

Ummmmm. It's been a while since I had to make a choice like that but as I recall the firewood thing is pretty important in 'cold country'.
It's a terrific poem, and I thank you for it.
So I have a question. If it is Mercury retrograde, how can such a little bitty planet have this much effect on my life? I have it too. I mean it took Einstein 20 years to get the photographs he needed of Mercury transiting the sun during an eclipse to prove part of the General Theory of Relativity and get him a Nobel prize. If it's that hard to find how can it have such an impact.

As for Mercury retrograde, that sounds like a question for @enchantedspirit. All I know is I feel it, and I'm not alone. ;)

Like you left your energy elsewhere. Yes. The moon was just full but it feels like a new moon right now. Sleepfest drags on. @enchantedspirit might say Mercury retrograde is inviting us to turn inward. But all is well. Rest is good. 💞
