Puzzle Piece
You feel you are a puzzle piece
That's part of the right set
You're roughly the right shape and size
And yet you do not fit
Welcome to the human race
We're curious beings indeed
That all claim that we're different
But have sameness as a need
And there lies a dilemma
That shall haunt you all your life
You'll find not many answers left
When really, there's no 'right'
We see the world as black or white
As evil or as good
Our actions have reactions
That we' change if just we could
But see we are a puzzle piece
That's part of the right set
We're roughly the right shape and size
And yet we do not fit
I have dwelled on this puzzle piece metaphor since I was young. It's a powerful way of thinking of the cosmos.
As for your poem, I enjoyed it; It had a nice flow. Thanks for sharing your reflections!
Thank you for taking the time to read it! Much appreciated.
