My Sad Reality
Does the calm precede or succeed the storm?
How do i survive when pain becomes the norm?
What answers do you give when you hear your echoed "why"
When no ones understands, on who do you rely?
And in that odd moment when you feel no pain
No anger, no anguish, no tears like rain
When you can't understand but you smile from the heart
When joy bubbles forth from your innermost parts
You take a deep breath and finally realise
There's no hurt, no pain in your eyes
For the sheer pleasure, you laugh out loud
You bask in the warm unfamiliar sound
Then gradually slipping away
You feel the weight return like every other day
The laughter flees, leaving anger in it's place
The anguish returns as joy is misplaced
Fear grips your heart as it eliminates you peace
Pain crushes your soul, solace out of reach
