Original impromptu poem 4/11/2018

A song brings to surface a youthful perspective
A thought full of wonder and happiness reflected
How can one stay true in the midst of high hopes
Falling, they fall, left here to cope

Into the rhythm and out of my sync
To start down this path, the soul lingers weak
But outlook will show lost souls a new path
The choice remains yours, forward or look back

To look back, not always a bad thing to do
Regain lost perspective that today could renew
Life's wonder and beauty here to explore
Remain in your heart the you, you adore
