To Me And You

to me and you the world is still
and frozen at the gates of hell
and all the days before it fell
on the same date it all ended.

i have to pray for a few drops
of love, when love is freely given.
oh lord, why my eden is gone
when everyone else is in heaven.

at the time we were given birth,
we were marked as one for history.
and today my love we stand still
as the night conceives our destiny.
