PRAY FOR AFRICA๐ {A Poem}
Pray for africa..
And her environs...
All the tears tetterd across her breast..
And the cowardice in her once courageous west

Pray for africa..
That her ailing body be brought back to life..
Pray that she stand from her filth..
And fly instead of her to crawl
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
Pray for africa...
That her beauty may blink again..
So her coral beads may jink again..
So her amulets of splendour may caress the cheeks of her chicks again
Pray for africa..
So she may rise from her quicksand..
And wave again,her magic wand...
And sway her beautiful brand

Pray for africa..
So her ignorance..
May usher in assurance..
So her backwardness
would bring fowardness
Pray for africa..
So that the power of colour
May die.
And the sunshine of honour may rise

I can feel the pain in this poem, having come from Africa myself; I am always at loss for words what can really be dne to undo the damage of years of repression. But this is beyond doing, maybe prayer is a good start.
@linzo hi there,you are right prayers will do. Because not having a palatable history is not good, and being that corruption and poverty has made Africa reduced bellow par.
