MURDER ON THE DINNING TABLE (An Original Poetry)
IMAGE SOURCE; Murder on the dining 🍴🔪
The bread's fragrances,
the baker's delight,
as redolence collides with expectations
birthing the belly's favourite,
thyme dying in it's prime,
vegetables screaming in pain,
to the heart's satisfaction
taking us to a journey of delightfulness.
We're being called on food's errand,
tweaking and squinting,
the moans in the mouth,
a minty melody
the romance within,
the tapping of the teeth,
results in sweet funerals
straight to the Valhalla within
a beautiful way to die
Let's all gather in prayer,
utensils clanking and diverging,
behold, the eyes an admirer,
of things that diligently sparkles
better than comfy paradise without.
the lamb's shank a sight to see,
so let's drown these,
with waters down the throat like seas
until we bask in the thrilling taste
with uncontrollable relish
We're jury, judge and executioner,
of tomatoes, eggs and omelettes,
lattees, enchiladas and more,
the stomach is a painter,
that churns at aesthetics beauty,
we're but evidence of a protruding belly,
on tables and floors,
virtual strong men,
warriors armed with spoons and knives,
