Spill your bladder on a spike,
breast fallen, crest fallen
On a lonely hike,
across the mysterious known
a tear only flows from the heart,
a flower only shatters when it's broken,
take only no token
for the crocodiles are friends,
when times are summer sweet and cozy
Upturned,
your blood like a flowing river
ebbing without clotting
on the sunset of the day,
you're burnt away from reality
hissing and crawling through your mire
Smash this boat on sexy tempests
and let's watch betrayal like a movie
with fallen antagonists
culpable hubris and a beautiful downfall.
Life is a faithful whore,
filled with piranhas in dove skins
the morrow is yet to come
but the candles are kindled to mourn,
mourn tomorrow's uncertainties like an ellegy
the tide takes turn to flow
the alliterations are plain,
but treachery is hidden within it's crumbs
we lay today, brethrens at meal
but panthers in the thicket
Solemn vows on the shallowness of the tongue
We're hardened clay
Smashed into a million pieces
by the harshness of mere water
friends at the coziness of dawn
but Judases at the slightest clanging of knives
bees abreast treasure chests
nesting with dragons and vipers
Wearing the beautiful fur of the dove 🕊
POETIC NOTES & ANALYSIS 📝
There is betrayal living in the heart of mankind. A strong desire to shy away in the face of adversity. A survival instinct that's selfishly imbued within the tentacles of man's existence which makes it difficult to show loyalty and commitments. The poem uses allusions to illustrate Judas's betrayal of Jesus and it explains the fact that his main purpose of betrayal was his activation of his betrayal instincts tenderly living inside of him in other to survive the onslaught that was coming for Jesus.
The poem explains the fact that friends are mere foes in the faces of adversity. They're mostly people who dine and wine with you but have carnivores abilities embedded in them. Sometimes a whole lot of factors activates these tendencies. However being a dominating gene, a few human tries to suppress this gory and hideous traits.
The poem used several allegories and also allusions especially from the bible times. Sometimes the sweetest of smiles is only a knife to the throat, the undeniable position of someone being closest to another person makes them very accessible to betrayal which of course is laying dormant.
