Be YOURSELF! (An original poem)

Everyday people will put on their disguise,
Hoping that others will not recognise,
They are acting differently just to fit in with the other guys,
Praying they don't see the truth behind the lies.
But...
You see, who we truly are is located so deep within,
For some, it never even touches the surface of their skin
Or manages to touch the lives of another with a grin,
Before they change as people and the old them is put into the bin.

Your appearance and traits, they should stick like glue,
If your friends say you should change then stuff that judging crew!
Don't let anyone change who you are... never start off new,
Let others be themselves and be the person you've always knew!
