RE: my other life with you
It's free verse poetry and may seem different if you are used to regular stanza and rhyme structures. Let's put it this way - if you fit your thoughts into a template like a sonnet, ballad or typical poetic form, you produce a predictable effect. But if you allow the form to develop organically and grow out of the meaning, you get a quite different experience that is uniquely suited to what's being described. This poem is designed to mimic stream of consciousness and the associative thought patterns of someone on the verge of sleep.
Don't buy it? Try Robert Frost
That's so cool. I always thought poetry is about rhyming stanzas. I am a beginner but I can rhyme and structure whatever I want to convey without the need of fitting in unnecessary rhyming sentences. But this is unique. Are there any other forms of poetry too? Where can I learn it? I am a self learner, didn't study it from anywhere. Kindly enlighten me if possible. Thank you.
