LIGHT BEHIND

An inspiring poem written by a friend on graduating from the university.

Before now, University was not a thought,
Within four years, I have been through a lot,
Been through Hell,
With memories as deep like a Well...
Never at home, always nomadic,
Early morning goodbyes, so pathetic...
Kingsley(brother) was growing up,
Mom was super supportive,
Samson(brother) came through,
Dad diligent as ever,
Happy(sister) never the Happiness...
Distress calls from home,
Frightens me every time to the bone..

Ups,down, highs and low,
Facing reality with scars to show..
Tears of hunger within,
We were atheist, what is Redeem?

What is riches without memories,
What is a love story without tragedies...
Pray we all finish anything we start in life,
Celebrate with us,
As today marks the end,
Of the four years Strive..
