There are some things you should know. If you look in the FAQ's under Spam/Abuse
You'll find the following (edited for brevity)

Plagiarism, Spam, and Abuse(things that are considered spam...there are about 10 listed.)
Posts or comments that include little or nothing more than an offer to trade follows or upvotes.

It is considered very bad form to ask people to follow and/or upvote your blog.
If you have good, original, QUALITY posts, people will follow you. People
Will upvote you.
