"Ode on Solitude" by Alexander Pope

Derelict tractor.JPG

Happy the man, whose wish and care
A few paternal acres bound,
Content to breathe his native air,
In his own ground.

Whose herds with milk, whose fields with bread,
Whose flocks supply him with attire,
Whose trees in summer yield him shade,
In winter fire.

Blest, who can unconcernedly find
Hours, days, and years slide soft away,
In health of body, peace of mind,
Quiet by day,

Sound sleep by night; study and ease,
Together mixed; sweet recreation;
And innocence, which most does please,
With meditation.

Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
Thus unlamented let me die;
Steal from the world, and not a stone
Tell where I lie.

[1 pic] I'm so amazed by your photography...you have nice collection

I try to stress @ykdesign, that I didn't take these photos, if I did, my name and the date would be on the image somewhere.
To tell you the truth, I don't remember where I snagged that tractor;
I've had it in my files for a LONG time. Probably Google Images.
I DO have a large collection of images in dozens of folders on
An external harddrive.
Where are you from? Where do you live? Methinks English is not your
First language. Little slips, like:
"Tears is falling.. wow... he is really amazing!"
would read
'Tears ARE falling, wow...YOU ARE really amazing'
