Surrounded by darkness, I am filled with hope.
The glowing warmth of friendship overwhelms me.
Things will work out, if I can keep them in scope.
I see rest in my future, conflict to come,
But this too shall pass, I am learning to cope.
So goodnight my friends, rest well, and remember,
“Blessed are the peacemakers”

Ahh, I was about to say that was an expert-level photo, but then again, you have a great eye to pick out a winner.
I got started doing this @steemmatt, before I began writing my own words.
I found sites like "Goodreads"(dotcom) among others, with quotes from
Authors or poets. I would search to find something that expressed
How I was feeling, then I would search to find an image that also
Expressed that feeling. Sometimes in searching for an image,
Suddenly I would find one that was much better at a prior
Post, and so I started saving the images.
After a couple of years doing that, I could no longer find
Writings by others that would adequately
Express what I felt, and so began my own
"writing career" (as it were) So yes, I
Like to think I can spot a good photo.
