You say you want a revolution?

You say you want a revolution?
Don’t ask for what you can’t handle.

When the profit sharing prostitution
Of our fathers and sons waving guns
Like Vietnam reruns
(Shown in HD on Fox News)
Reprised as “free enterprise”
(Or wait, was that “Democracy”?)
Spins back like a whirlwind, we’ll reap
What we’ve Sown -by the Sword-
in the name of false freedom.
Don’t be surprised when the fan the shit hits
is right smack in the midst
Of the home of the brave and the land of the enslaved.

Pull the scales from your eyes
and surprise you might see
that the roots of hypocrisy
spring from seeds of apathy
and the tree it becomes,
spreading limbs of oppression,
covers all of the earth with the shadow of death.
But that’s all it is: a shadow, a spectre.
So this conscientious objector
won’t bow to the director
of Homeland Security
‘cause I don’t see my enemy
in any face that’s in front of me.

I see false flags and secrecy.
A see a conspiracy
Fact.
Not a theory.
All of these lies that spring forth from a smile full of teeth
simply reek of the Beast and his puppet mouthpieces
with blue heads and red tails,
-two sides of the coin-
or two pawns in a game where
the kings and the queens have all been subdued
or reduced to non-use.
So who’s left to protect the rights we have left
Like life and liberty?
You and me?
You and me?!?
You and me.

Again, really good stuff. This one reads more like a rap. I'm glad to see some poetry on Steemit. I did a poem and I'm getting inspired reading your's to do more.
