FREEDOM - A POEM
I'm soaring high above the earth
on wings within my mind
I can feel the lofting breezes
as the landscape below unfolds
on the inside of my eyelids
these walls that hold my body
can never take away my freedom
I travel so far in these cold walls
under the sea and into the heavens
I have smiled into my past
and wandered into my future
I live through what I think and feel
until my mind and body are one again.
