Alcoholic Solution for an Unhealthy Obsession - A POEM of Lonesome Love
This bottle and me just sharing stories
about how you and I got so close.
It's the strangest of things
that the two of us seem
to be sharing the very same soul.
The bottle, it listens,
as I pour out my heart
it pours me another confession
Here's to you, long necked friend
for your solution to my obsession.
Not a day passes by
she and I don't connect
We're as close as the ocean and shore.
We share everything
from the food on our plates
to the secrets we hold in our hearts.
I can't understand
why we're perfectly matched
in a love that was doomed from the start.
The bottle just nods
out another solution
to my unhealthy obsession.
She's so young and vital
I'm weathered and worn
My soul mate is half of my age.
It's a cruel play by fate
That the soul that we share
found vessels two decades apart.
The bottle has nothing to offer
It has give me all of its wisdom
I drank every drop of solution
to my unhealthy obsession.
That is a bad combination. Alcohol connects in a strange way even though it suppresses the obsession for a while.
