the wind in all its glory

Can you hear it?
The sound of the wind.
As it touches,
The earth beneath.
Can you feel it?
The breeze of the wind,
As it gently nears you.
The forces of nature,
Can’t stop it.
Nor can your hands withdraw it.
The wind is always by your side.
Comfort from the days heat,
Though it can be a torrent,
It has no menace in of itself.
Though it causes the waves to rise,
It has no will of its own.
It makes a joyful sound,
As it causes the trees to dance.
It has a distinct sound when it is angry.
It is mighty,
It is strong,
Yet it has compassion on the animals in the field.
It is sincere to those who reside near the ocean.
It does not allow itself to behave unruly.
