OLD AGE!!!

I have walked the earth for many years
I witnessed the birth of life only to be taken away
At the end
I have tasted immortality and I have walked
With gods and creatures of divinity
I have fathered children's
And I have watched my children father their
Children's ,children in turn.....

Am now an old man
The world have grown too loud
That I cant take it any longer
The youths have grown too stupid
That they no longer listen to the sayings of
Old men
And they have no respect for elders.......
My eyes have grown too dim to see
The beauty of the skies
My strength have gone out of me
For i can no longer do the things
I did when I was young and full of life..
And am fed up already
I can't take it any more
i just want to rest and have my peace
For I have completed my stay in this world
And now its time to take my leave.....

I have laboured for my daily bread
I have struggled to give my home the best of life
I have worked from dawn to dusk
I have toiled till my feet became wounded and sore
I have trained my children with all the strength
I have left...
I have taught them all that there is to know
About the ways of men
And now its time to return to the dust from
Wence I cometh from.....

I have eaten with kings
And I have dinned with nobilities
I have watched wisdom grow from the ashes
And I have witnessed foolishness perpetrated
In cold blood
I have made mistakes in life
And I showed those after me the right path to follow

Am now an old man
And death is not far away
My life was an epistle for all to see
A book for all to read
And an instruction for all to follow
And a light for all to guide you through
But now my child I must leave you for
Death calls to me
And I must answer its call for my time
Here is over........
But remember me when am gone
And never forget to pass unto your children
All that I have passed down to you this day.....
