Their love started so sweet,
Always a victory,
Never defeat.

He loved the honesty of her eyes,
Always plain truth,
Never in disguise.

She adored his pretty smile,
Always good,
Never vile.

But as the time went by,
Dark times took place.
She wondered why,
There was no more smile on his face.

He now hated her angry glare,
And all the lies she told.
Everything was far from fair,
And his heart grew cold.

So came the faithful night,
They got into a nasty fight.
He sharpened his kitchen knife,
And finally took her life.

Only then he realized his mistake,
And how he was now alone.
His hands started to shake,
Before he took his own.

Two people who once had a spark,
Took their final breath.
Now everything is dark,
In the cold hands of death.
